NC not to accept Maoist-led govt before integration starts 06.07.10

Nepali Congress has made it clear that it will not accept a Maoist-led government before the integration of Maoist combatants begins.
A meeting of NC office-bearers held at acting president Sushil Koirala's Maharajgunj residence Tuesday morning concluded that the party remains firm in its position that peace process must be the top agenda while forming the new coalition government and that the party will accept a Maoist-led government only when the integration of the combatants starts.

The party has, however, emphasised that the next government should formed on the basis of consensus, leaders said.

However, the meeting did not arrive at any decision whether the party would stake claim over the leadership of the next government. nepalnews.com
