NC ready to withdraw its PM candidacy, Sujata reveals 30.07.10
Speaking at a press meet
organised by Press Union at the Koirala family residence in Biratnagar
of Morang on Friday, Koirala said that her party will withdraw its
prime ministerial candidacy for the sake of national consensus and will
show others that "it does not lust for government leadership or power".
She said the party is now of the view that it should try to forge consensus and understanding for an all-party government than opting for a majority government and end up making the country hostage to further political turmoil.
Koirala also said that as the past governments formed on the basis of parliamentary majority in the country has not been able to do anything worthwhile for the country and its people and the new government should be formed on the basis of consensus and no political parties should be excluded from it.
