Maoist plenum: Dahal presents 'common paper' 26.11.10

The ongoing extended plenum of the Unified CPN (Maoist) in Palungtar, Gorkha, has taken up the 'common paper' prepared by chairman Puspha Kamal Dahal by incorporating views from the dossiers presented by vice chairman-duo Mohan Baidya and Dr Baburam Bhattarai.
Chairman Dahal presented the common paper Friday afternoon. Due to time constraint, the two vice chairmen will respond to questions raised by the party representatives on their separate political documents tomorrow.

"Today's session concluded after the chairman's presentation," party spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma informed.

As per the schedule, chairman Dahal will again answer the queries on his former paper tomorrow.

According to Sharma, the party will hold a press meet to announce the decision of the plenum Saturday before its completion.

Earlier today, a meeting of the standing committee held preliminary discussion on Dahal's new document that has incorporated a number of issues raised in political documents of vice chairman-duo.

As per the standing committee's decision, the next central committee meeting will endorse the common paper.

"It will be too early to disclose the content of the common document. It has integrated all issues raised by the two vice chairmen," Sharma said earlier.
