Mid-Marshyangdi shut for maintenance 25.11.10
The hydropower project having capacity of 70 MW had been completely closed down as its unit “B” turbine having the capacity of 35 MW is also down for maintenance from Tuesday. Meanwhile the unit “A” turbine having the same capacity is under maintenance since one week back.
According to Mid-Marshyangdi Hydropower Centre, unit “A” turbine will resume its operation after one week and unit “B” turbine after two weeks.
After December 6, both the turbines will resume its operation and will generate full capacity of power, said Mahendra Adhikari, chief of the project.
Companies from Germany and Australia are doing the maintenance work of the turbines, said the centre.
The country is currently facing 29 hours of load-shedding a week.
