Maoists want to bring its combatants under special committee before UNMIN departure: PM 01.01.11
PM Nepal gave this information to Norwegian Minister for Environment and International Development, Erik Solheim during a telephonic conversation on Thursday.
State-owned news agency RSS quoted the prime minister’s press advisor, Bishnu Rijal as saying that Soheim had called the prime minister to learn about the progress made in the peace process and constitution drafting.
It is learnt that Solheim queried about the alternative arrangement the government has put in place to monitor the Maoist combatants and their weapons in the post-UNMIN scenario.
