Visas for Nepal are issued by the Nepalese Embassy in Geneva

Visa for Switzerland

Switzerland applies now the Schengen regulations concerning the issuance of visas. The visa issued by Switzerland is valid for entering the territory of all Schengen member states. This will also apply to Schengen visas issued by other Schengen States which will permit entry to Switzerland.

Application has to be made at the Embassy of Switzerland in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur (SDC Compound).

Trekking Permits

Generally no trekking permits are necessary up to a road-head or the plane destination. As from those points trekking permits are required.
Contact your travel- or trekking agent for further details. Rules and regulations forpermits can be changed at short notice.
The issuing authority is the Central Immigration Office at Maitighar, Kathmandu.
Trekking Permits can also be issued from resp. office in Pokhara.
