Tourism top priority in forthcoming budget: Minister Bishwokarma 09.05.11
Bishwokarma also said that the time has come to develop the rural region as the government has failed to develop these regions though they have high tourism potentials.
Highlighting that Bheri-Karnali region has also high tourism potentials, Bishwokarma also assured to give priority to this region in the upcoming fiscal budget.
Similarly, Kishor Thapa, secretary at the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, said that there is dearth of tourism activities in the Karnali region and suggested introducing home-stay programmes for the promotion of tourism there.
On the occasion, the organiser of the interaction programme also urged the government to give priority and promote Karnali region for the development of tourism sector.
Prachanda Man Shrestha, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board also assured to introduce various new programmes to promote Karnali region as a tourist destination.
