Thousands of pro-monarchists gather in Dhangadhi to greet Paras Shah 02.09.10

Ex-crown prince Paras Shah received an otherwise unexpected welcome in Dhangadi when he arrived there to inaugurate an old-age asylum constructed at the premises of a temple, Thursday.
A motorcycle rally escorted Paras from Dhangadi Airport to LN Chowk where he inaugurated the asylum and offered prayers at the Laxminarayan temple there.

Thousands of pro-monarchists from different parts of Kailali and surrounding districts arrived in Dhangadhi to greet Shah, responding to a call from Rastriya Shiva Sena, a Hindu religious outfit. The crowd also chanted slogans, demanding restoration of Hindu kingdom.

Paras arrived in Dhangadhi by a regular flight of Buddha Air.

Meanwhile, nearly a dozen people were injured when the roof of a house they were standing on to get a glimpse of the ex-crown prince caved in. An army man was also injured after being trapped in the crowd. nepalnews.com
